King Edward II of England’s e reign lasted twenty years, but was peppered with disgrace and failure, so much so that the price he paid was the ultimate for a reigning monarch - to be the first English king since the Norman Conquest to be deposed.

This video will be about both Edward and his Queen - Isabella - who incidentally went on to become known as She-Wolf. We will delve into history and look at the events that led Edward to his his sorry fate, his relationship with his wife Queen Isabella and how his obsessions with his two particular favourites led to his alienation, ultimate downfall and apparently an unsavoury encounter with a red hot poker!
