The Antarctic, a mysterious frozen continent, about 1.5 times the size of the United States, 99 percent of which is covered by ice. It contains about 70 percent of the planet's freshwater and 90 percent of the Earth's ice. Being the least populated continent, it keeps a lot of secrets. Of course the more we explore and analyze Antarctica the less it seems mysterious to us.
