In an excavation site of the Acropolis Museum, they managed to "hole—unknown in what way—five young women. In fact, two of them were minors, only 17 years old. The incident happened on the evening of Tuesday, August 22, around 10.45 p.m.
According to information from enikos.gr, the women were noticed by a guard at the Acropolis Museum in Dionysiou Areopagitou. As he found out, they had entered an excavation site at the Museum and had removed an unknown number of coins from various countries.
The police proceeded to arrest them, and the five women were charged with theft. The case has been taken over by the Acropolis Security Department.

On the evening of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, after the Acropolis Museum closed, six minors were found in its courtyard. The Museum's security staff immediately notified the police, and legal action was taken.
The Acropolis Museum regrets the inaccurate information and the disproportionate dimension given to the issue, thus creating wrong impressions.
