The discovery of family burials for the first time from the era of the Second Intermediate Period in Dhara Abu al-Naga, west of Luxor.
The Egyptian archaeological mission, headed by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, succeeded in uncovering a group of family burials from the era of the Thirteenth Dynasty of the Second Intermediate Period, during excavations at Dra’ Abu al-Naga cemetery on the western mainland in Luxor.
