Despite its name, the Bent Pyramid is not actually bent. Its lower section is built at a shallower angle than its upper section, giving it its distinctive shape. The Bent Pyramid is located in the ancient Egyptian city of Dahshur, just south of Cairo. It is one of two pyramids built by Sneferu, the other being the Red Pyramid. The Bent Pyramid was closed to the public for many years, but it was reopened. Visitors can now explore its chambers and learn more about its fascinating history.
